got back from Chicago. Got to hang with Matt, Natalie, & their beagles! Got to see St Vincent, Beach House,

the Pitchfork Festival! Should be lots of fun! I am the first act of the first day. I hope people are there. (ha) I have been getting a band together to start playing out new songs - so
in the fall, be prepared to see me with a band. Also, just starting to announce my September tour with Marissa Nadler. She is a great singer/songwriter and I am
looking forward to it.
Which is to say that the May 6th show, featuring
Yo La Tengo, the Clean, Jeff Mangum, and a bunch of other people is way beyond sold out--even at $75 per ticket. The indie start-up
for indie start-ups, Kickstarter, hosted the bidding, and you can still give
money there--as little as a dollar--to support ailing Tall Dwarfs frontman and New Zealand rock godfather Chris Knox, who suffered a horrendous stroke last summer from which he's still recovering.
It won't get you into the show, but it's a pretty easy way to give back to a guy who has already given a lot of people an

collaborations with some of the most adventurous rock musicians playing today. This special evening begins with the first-ever theater screening of Naomi films from the Factory 25 DVD release Damon & Naomi: 1001 Nights, a comprehensive video anthology of the duo. The screening
is followed by a Q&A moderated by Haden Guest, Director of the Harvard Film Archive, with Damon & Naomi and Michio Kurihara of the legendary
Japanese band Ghost, who is featured in the film. After the Q&A, join us in
the mainstage for Damon & Naomi in concert with Kurihara. I will be opening the evening and I just feel so lucky

After a few days rest from touring with Great Lake Swimmers, I toured with Rain Machine.
I had such a great time. They are such beautiful people. Kyp, Andy, Heidi, Carmen, and Ben took me under their wing and
encouraged me so much. Thank you guys! I am so excited for your tour with The Pixies!!!!!!
Now that I am home
for a while, I am playing some shows in the New York area and will be recording some demos to prepare to record a new album
in the winter/spring.
It's definitely time to hide/hibernate.
I've been reading Rilke and Anreas-Salome, A
Love Story in Letters, and it is helping realize that it is the loving people I surround myself with who help me become a
better person and writer.
